Official: Warriors discover final FIFA ranking for September/October international window

Zimbabwe’s Warriors have finished the September/October international window ranked 129th in the world, according to the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking released on Wednesday.

The Warriors started the international window ranked 130th in the world before making a significant jump after their impressive 3-2 comeback victory over Sierra Leone in their opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

That victory saw Zimbabwe climb six places to 124th in the provisional FIFA rankings.

However, the Warriors slipped back to 130th after suffering a 2-1 defeat to the Democratic Republic of Congo in their second Group E qualifier at the National Sports Stadium.

Zimbabwe have now moved back up one place to 129th in the final ranking for the September/October international window.

The Warriors gained a net eight points from their two AFCON 2027 qualifiers, finishing the window with 1,128.05 points,

Zimbabwe’s ranking movement during the window:

130th → 124th → 130th → 129th.

The Warriors will return to action in November for their next AFCON 2027 qualifiers.
